Pilates is a low to no impact form of working out that requires your body to be firing on all cylinders. Strength, mobility and flexibility, core control and deep connection, body awareness, and mindful breathing all work together to comprise this practice. Originally created in the early 1900's, Pilates has been utilized by thousands. Beginning as a method of rehabilitation for prisoners of war, and eventually spreading to professional ballerinas, celebrities, Physical Therapy clinics, and more. 

With the use of a piece of equipment called a reformer, Pilates is a great tool for everyone from athletes looking to improve their body control and build their core, to those looking for a no impact exercise alternative to add to their health journey. With such focus on the core and pelvic floor, Pilates is also a wonderful modality to utilize during pregnancy, labor preparation, and postpartum recovery.
